![]() ![]() They're difficult enemies nonetheless but managing their aggro and not triggering other enemies (like Slammers) is good practice. Librarians, Bombers, and Demons all have fair telegraphs. The off-screen '!' is sufficient for dodging it but given how hectic the biome is I'd like a bit more telegraph for fairness' sake. I like the design of the Knife Thrower, it forces players to inspect their environments carefully and has a lot of ways to counter it. You don't even need to react to being hit by the first one, if you realize you're going to get hit you can buffer a roll to escape the worst of it. You can input a roll upon taking the first hit and escape the other two knives, rarely will all three hit you unless you completely freeze up. Response as someone who no-lifes this game on 5BC: Or maybe I just need to play more and Git Gud even more. But when every area is filled with multiple such cheap enemies it starts becoming a bit unfair. There are a lot more enemies in this category that I haven't listed here.Īgain, just a few of these enemies are not an issue. The Automaton (time keeper things in the clocktower) - if you don't see them they will attack twice dealing massive damage.Attacks in a big AOE dealing massive damage. The new blob like enemy introduced in the latest patch falls here (Corrupted prison).Slammer & Rampager: Heavily punish a single mistake by literally taking away 75% or more HP on a survival build in late areas (4BC+).Conjunctivius also has a cheap phase but will only do it if you're not prepared for the fight (taking too long) which is OK. The "Mama Tick" Boss: This boss is a collection of various different kinds of cheap hits, most notably the 3-4 times where tentacles rapidly come up from the ground. But when you combine these with slammers that's the problem. Note that just on their own, they are fine. Other enemies in this category: Librarians (Astrolab), Bombers & Demons.Worst part is that he can track you as you are moving, so you will get hit while climbing up walls or ladders. He doesn't make a proper "telegraphed sound" like inquisitors or arbitrers before attacking. Blow gunner introduced in the DLC takes this to the next level. On 4BC+, if you get hit by it, prepare to get +3 malaise instantly on a build that doesn't have soldier's resistance. Note that a few such enemies are OK but we are slowly having these kind of "cheap" enemies everywhere now. I feel that a lot of the new enemies that are being introduced in the last patches / DLCs are based on either delivering a couple of cheap hits or heavily punishing a single mistake. ![]() First of all, I absolutely love this game, have 5 BC unlocked, forge fully upgraded and almost every blueprint and outfit unlocked. ![]()
